Houston Zoo Reopening 2020
Spring 2020 has been a mess. There has been so much negativity flying around as well as a highly infectious virus. That virus has shut down the entire world for the better part of the year to date, with those closings went our beloved zoo. Being a member of the Houston Zoo has some serious benefits. In addition to unlimited visits, we were able to secure tickets to Houston Zoo Reopening Day 2020!
You may not have heard, but the world is in the midst of a global pandemic. I am writing this in the spring of 2020 and the world is a whole new place. Most things have been closed for months and we have been stuck at home like most of the world. As infection rates are dropping and our social distancing efforts seem to be paying off, slowly businesses have been allowed to reopen. Capacity limitations and face coverings are being enforced in most places.
Another Great Homeschool Field Trip Here
As soon as I saw that the Houston Zoo was closing due to COVID, I was sad. This is our happy place and we visit at least twice a month. It is a wonderful homeschool field trip spot and we truly enjoy the experience. Couple that with having plans to attend the newest special exhibit, Dragons, a mere 2 days after their closure.
We love to visit the Houston Zoo as often as we can and utilize our membership heavily. Enjoying a quiet weekday morning is the perfect homeschool field trip. Often times we can easily find an animal to share facts about or a habitat to admire.
