Beach Clean Up Fun Family Day
We had the amazing opportunity to help clean up the Galveston beaches! A bonus was a sea turtle release! We love Galveston Island and are proud members of the Houston Zoo. We got to spend a day as a family helping the sea life of our area with cleaner beaches. Of course, we stopped by some of our favorite eateries and could not pass up a quick dip in the Gulf of Mexico.

One of our recent trips was particularly special β a beach cleanup organized by the Houston Zoo and partnered with Splash. This event aligned perfectly with our youngest family member’s passion for conservation. We were excited to be part of a collective effort to make a positive impact on our environment.

Our adventure began with an early morning drive to Galveston Beach. The Houston Zoo had organized a beach cleanup event with a focus on conservation. Our youngest family member’s dedication to protecting the environment made this opportunity even more special for us. We were so lucky to witness the release of a rehabilitated loggerhead sea turtle back into the wild.
Exploring the Beach and Giving Back:
As we arrived at Stewart Beach, we were prepared for a fulfilling day of beach cleanup. While our expectations were high, we were pleasantly surprised to find minimal trash on the beach. However, we took the opportunity to pick up litter, focusing on the little things like water bottle lids that are often overlooked. By actively participating in this cleanup, we not only contributed to the environment but also instilled important values in our children.
Culinary Delights at The Spot:
After our beach cleanup, we continued our adventure with a delicious culinary experience at The Spot. This local gem in Galveston offers a delightful menu that caters to all tastes. With their unique flavored waffle fries and mouthwatering burgers, The Spot delivered a perfect blend of taste and quality, leaving us craving for more. This dining experience added an extra layer of enjoyment to our day.
